Steve has always had an admiration for the sport of basketball
dating back to being coached as a kid by Hall of Famer Joe Lapchick. Traktman’s
love of the game continued as a fan as he has attended three Final Fours at
Houston in 2011, New Orleans in 2012 and Minneapolis in 2019. Steve has also
attended eight Pac-12 Tournament Championships. Steve was the winner of
the inaugural Hoop Historians Hoop Hysteria Contest in 2021.
