Darren has been around Hoop Historians for most of his lifetime, and attended his first of four consecutive Final Fours in Minneapolis (1992) at the age of nine.  Darren played basketball at Katella High School in California and and Saint Thomas More Prep and was a member of the New England Prep School champions.  Sack was selected in the eleventh round of the 2004 Major League Baseball Draft by the San Francisco Giants and played five seasons of professional ball in addition to pitching three years at Sonoma State University.  At Sonoma State, in 2003 and 2004, his team made it to the finals of the NCAA West Regional (Division II).  In 2006, he was named the San Jose Giants Pitcher of the Year and in 2007 he was a member of the San Jose Giants team that won the California League Championship.  Darren has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Saint Mary’s College. Darren has attended the 2002 World Series; the MLB All-Star Game in 1987 and 2012; the NBA Finals in 2001 and Wimbledon in 1995.
