Steve is the Head Basketball Coach at the University of San Diego.  Steve previously worked for Fox Sports, ESPN, the Pac-12 Network and served as a first and second round analyst for CBS during the NCAA Tournament.  Lavin was head coach of two storied college basketball programs, UCLA (1996-2003) and Saint John's (2010-2015).  Steve played at San Francisco State and Chapman University and was hired as an assistant coach by Gene Keady at Purdue in 1988.  He became an assistant coach at UCLA in 1991, winning the NCAA Championship in 1995.  As head coach of the Bruins, Lavin led his team to five Sweet Sixteen appearances in six years, and was named Pac-10 Coach of the Year in 2001.  His 10-1 record in the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament, is the second best mark in NCAA history.
