• Brian Burmeister, a UCLA season ticket holder, saw his favorite team play in what was Brian's fortieth consecutive Final Four.

• Bruce Ziemer established a modern day record by purchasing 24
   t-shirts, 11 baseball caps, and four hooded sweatshirts.

• For the first time since 1980, no number one seeds made the Final Four

• George Mason was the lowest seed (#11) to make the Final Four since seeded brackets started in 1979.
