• The USA Junior Select team defeated the International Select Team 98-97 in the Nike Hoop Summit held at Canseco Fieldhouse.  Future NBA Players included the USA's Darius Miles, Zach Randolph, Omar Cook, Chris Duhon and Jared Jeffries.  International stars later to play in the NBA included Tony Parker, Olumide Oyediji and Bostjan Nachbar .
