Vern has been a long-time coach and clinician, who most recently worked as special assistant to the head basketball coach at San Jacinto College in California.  Among Vern's duties included fund raising, game day operations and summer basketball camps.  Vegso has coached at the prestigious Five-Star Basketball Camp, which has seen nearly 400 players advance to play in the NBA.  In addition to Five-Star, Vern was the on-floor director for the J Robinson Intensive Basketball Camps, working those events in Minnesota, North Carolina and Washington.  Vegso also coached at Desert Christian High School in California and served as the director of basketball operations at Bakersfield College and at Cal State Fullerton.
