A financial advisor by
trade, Michael manages the National Association of Basketball Coaches
retirement plan and the Association’s Operating Account. Gant was the
Missouri Valley AAU Player of the Year. A four-year player
and three-year starter at Rockhurst College in Kansas City, Michael was an
All-District 16 performer. Gant earned All-District honors as a triple
jumper at Rockhurst, being the college’s one-man Track & Field Team.
Michael continued his career in athletics being the head boys basketball
coach at O’Hara High School in Kansas City, and an assistant coach at his
alma mater. Gant worked as Presidential Aide at Central Missouri State
University, and also served as an Education Outreach Program Coordinator for
the National Collegiate Athletic Association. Mike currently serves on the Board for the Lawrence
Township Boys' Basketball League.
