Jim is a retired Division I basketball official, where he worked NCAA games from 1975-1985.  Jorgensen was the Commissioner of Division II Northern California Athletic Conference from 1985-1995.  Since 1998, Jim has been the supervisor of officials and a high school sports assigner for 102 schools in the California Interscholastic Federation.  Prior to his college basketball endeavors, Jorgensen was a volunteer with the Peace Corps in Kenya.
