MEADOWLARK LEMON -- A TRUE GLOBETROTTER -- SOMEONE YOU SHOULD KNOW

George "Meadowlark: Lemon played basketball for the Harlem Globetrotters for 22 years and was affectionately known as the "Clown Prince of Basketball".  During that time Lemon played in more than 16,000 games and performed over 90 different countries.

Hoop Historian John Mayberry teamed with Lemon to coordinate Camp Meadowlark -- a basketball academy that emphasizes the four attributes of basketball: physical, psychological, social and spiritual.

Even after all those years of performing in front of millions of people around the world, Lemon still has the enthusiasm to promote the game of basketball -- this time for the youth to introduce them to the right way to play the game.

For his efforts both on and off the court Lemon was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2003.
